Bria was my nail model today as I had a couple other contests I wanted to enter with my own nails. Can you see the ornaments? No inspiration today, although I am sure someone else has thought that this stamp looked like ornaments. Here's how I did it.
- Base coat :)
- Two coats of China Glaze Winter Holly. Love this polish! It is a dark evergreen micro glitter with holo glitter thrown in. Perfect for trees!
- Stamed with Essie Good as Gold and Bundle Monster BM-206 (see below)
- Painted stripes with 2 coats China Glaze Ruby Pumps. Did two coats because it was to pink with one coat.
- Dotted with China Glaze Angel Wings, another favorite from the 2012 Holiday collection. Gold holo micro glitter goodness!
- Top Coat!

Bria's nails are small enough that I is hard to tell that these are "ornaments" from a distance, but I like the effect. What do you think? Don't forget to check out all the other lovely ornament manis.
cute, gorgeous colors :D
ReplyDeleteThanks! If you don't have CG Winter Holly, you have to go out and nab it. It is definitely my fav 2012 Hoiday Collection color. In fact the whole China Glaze Holiday collection is stunning, but this is my fav.
DeleteI have the same plate and I would have never thought to use it for this challenge. Nice work!
ReplyDeleteAwesome! Me likey!

Just takes practice and the right polishes! If you watch any of the many YouTube tutorials the learning curve can be pretty fast. I have clear decorative flat pebbles about the size of a quarter that I almost always practice on first to make sure that the colors work together, especially if the polish I am using to stamp shows up well on the base color.
