Zoya Willow - Is It Coral?

The prompt for Golden Oldies Thursday is coral.  I went through my stash of corals that I haven't worn in over a year.  There was only one...and I am not even sure it is coral.  It seems very orange in my pics.

Mmmm, I kind of like this!  I did it quite awhile ago and forgot how warm and summery it is!

This is three coats of Zoya Willow.  I first went to Zoya's site to find out if they described it as coral.  It must be a discontinued polish as I could not find it.  Then I did a Google search to see how others described it.  Not a whole lot of swatches out there, but I did find one that had Zoya's original description.  Here it is: "Soft pale coral orange with a subtle hint of tan and delicate silver frost."  It says coral right there....although it also says orange.  I have used Willow in the last year for nail art, but it has been over a year since it has been a featured part of a manicure.

I wanted to add some interest, so I did a saran wrap application with Wet n Wild 9121Orange.  Interesting, but it needed more.

I decided to do a favorite stamp technique and us a french tip image vertically.  Using french tip images this way gives them so much more versatility.  I use my french tip images more for horizontal and half moon applications than for actual french tips!  Maybe because I can never get them straight on my tips!  (tee hee).  I used BM-020 and Maybelline Bold Gold.  I also used BM18 on my pinkie, which is just a thinner version of this same image, because it fit better on my skinny little tip.

You can barely tell it is a different image, but if you look close you can see that it has smaller holes.  This is one of the benefits of having the first and second generation of this Bundle Monster set and why I refuse to sell off the older set.

So, what do you think?  Is it coral?  Do you wish they still had this in stock?  Do you like the vertical application of french tip images?  Speak to me my lovely readers.  And check out the other more corally corals.  Thanks for looking!

Tina
