It is Adventures in Stamping time! Today's theme is "over lilac".
I just received the perfect lilac in my April Julep Maven box. I just wish I would have remembered to get a pic of it on it's own.
The base is two coats of Julep Alice, a lovely lilac color with a subtle shimmer that is bordering on frost. The formula was....different. It is definitely thick, which I normally like. With the shimmer, it shows brush strokes just slightly, which means my perfectionism was causing me to try to get it...well...perfect. The problem was that this beauty did not like to be overworked. It was like it was drying too fast and didn't self level after a few strokes. Really, the brush strokes hardly show, so unless you are...well me...it won't need to be overworked.
I stamped with Gals GA44 and Revlon Star Attraction Reality Star, another magnetic polish great for stamping.
Next I stamped with Messy Mansion MM07 and Barry M Gelly Plum. I added a little Zoya Piaf to the center of the flowers, just to give them some dimension.
Finally I stamped with m78, SpaRitual Native Soil, and filled the wings with Milani Bjou Bronze.
I think this turned out pretty sweet. What do you think?
As always, thanks for looking!
Tina
Great stamping manicure! Love the lilac color too :)
ReplyDeleteThese images and colours work so well together. I thought it was a freehand design until I read the post.
