A Little Late But No Less Awesome!

We had a family emergency, so this is a little late.  I think it will be worth the wait.  Let's see wht you think!

Today's theme for the GOT challege is purple.  Um, all over it!  The difficulty was choosing a purple.  Well, not really.  I have a lot of golden oldie purples, but this one has my heart and has only graced my tips a couple of times and not at all within the last year.  So sad!

Contrary Polish Desert Fruit - 2 coats
Contrary Polish was my first indie crush and continues to be one of my favorite indies.  I have gushed about The uniqueness of Carrie's polish and her great formulas!  They consistently showed up in my Best of 2013 categories again and again!  I did a little research and I think this came out in September of 2012.  This was a "stand alone" not connected to any collection.  A gorgeous dusty eggplant color filled with a red/copper shimmer, this is my kind of purple.  I have a weakness for anything with copper, all of its' veriations....red, pink, antiqued and patina.  Give me copper and I am a happy girl.  This can still be found at Llarowe , Norway Nails or contact directly HERE for mini bottles.  You can also follow on Facebook.  Now that I got that out of my system, let's move on to the "nail art".

Imagine that nail art has air quotes around it.  I don't really consider it art since it takes no skill other than picking a pretty coordinating polish and stamp image.  I stamped randomly with Revlon Captivate and BM07.  I am revisiting stamp images that are "golden oldies" too.  I may even be recreating some of my early manis at some point for this challenge.  We will see!  Here is some pic spam!

I really love this combo as Captivate coordinates so well with the shimmer in Desert Fruit.  Don't forget to check out all the other purple golden oldies.  Maybe you will find a new love buried somewhere in these posts!
