Today I thought I would show you a mani that I have very mixed feelings about. I made it for a skittlette contest held by Marta at CHIT CHAT NAILS (one of my all time favorite nail blogs). With the Christmas Challenge and the Wacky Laki contest I was running behind for it and when I sent it at 12:50 am I must have done something wrong, because she didn't get it :( Not that I thought I would ever win with all the great nails being submitted, but maybe I might have seen some more followers. Oh well, maybe next time. And the mixed feelings...well, I'm not really a skittlette person. Don't get me wrong, I think they look stunning on others, but I am a little too OCD to like them on myself. And then, because I did this mani so late at night I woke up with sheet marks the next morn. So sad! And I didn't have time to put anything else on my sad nails before work so I kinda burst the co-workers whole "you're so talented" bubble. I did say I had mixed feelings so here's the positive....I liked the colors I used? Anyways, here it is....
I started with Essence Jacobs Protection. I have been obsessed with this polish recently. You've seen it before in my gifts mani.

Next I layered one coat of China Glaze Glistening Snow on my ring finger. Finally I stamped with Sally Hansen InstaDri Silver Sweep and Bundle Monster BM12 on my middle finger. Well, that's it. Hope you like! See you soon for Day 9 of 12 Days of Christmas Wreaths! Still trying to figure out what I will do :)
Congratulations on getting new followers! I always love seeing new people on my blog especially because I also get to discover their blogs and their friend's blogs...then I wonder why I am at the computer so much looking at nails. lol I officially want CG Glistening Snow now! Thank you for enabling. :)
ReplyDeleteAlways glad to enable a fellow polisholic! I have several silver holo glitter polishes, but this is by far my ultimate favorite...so dense...so glittery AND able to stand up on it's own with no undies in only 2 coats! If you like this you will love Angel Wings which is the gold version. There is also a copper/pinky version called Champagne Bubbles, but I wasn't able to nab that yet as my local polish haunts were all sold out.
Deletelovely mani! Jacobs Protection is so pretty, but I don't really like the formula
ReplyDeleteI'm with you there! This went on a bit too thick and took forever to dry, but some polishes are worth it. This is one of them. I have nothing else like it in my stash, so until I find a dupe I'll have to put up with it.
DeleteI love that Essence polish, very pretty! CG Glistening Snow was my favorite from their holiday collection this year.
ReplyDeleteI loved it and Champagne Bubbles cause I love anything copper colored!
