This just makes me want to strap on some leather and hop on a Harley, or at least the hubby. Wait, did I just say that out loud?
This started with Julep Karmen, a red packed full of gold glitter. So purdy!
Next I added some stripping tape and covered with Nails Inc Noho, my favorite black texture (so far, I am waiting for OPI to come out with a liquid sand with gold holo glitter. Hear that OPI?)
After peeling off the tape, I had this stunning mani that makes me think of muscle cars and motorcycles. What do you think of? Give me a shout out to let me know! Now on to the other stripes.
These are great, something I'd definitely wear :)
ReplyDeleteThanks! I really enjoyed them!
DeleteVroom vroom...me likey!
ReplyDeletelol! Thanks Inky!
DeleteWow-I'd love to have the dexterity in my fingers and hands to create art on my fingernails and toes-of course I would probably go a lot less dramatic but all of these are amazing!
ReplyDeleteMiki, this is probably one of the easiest to do and takes little dexterity. And my toes are NEVER painted because I too don't have dexterity! Switch out the colors for something more subdued for a less dramatic look!
DeleteThat is really pretty, I used to pay extra for looks like that when I would get my nails done. Nice to see you can do the same look at home.
ReplyDeleteWith my nail polish obsession, I don't think I save any money over getting them done professionally!
DeleteWow, that is beautiful and has such awesome texture look to it!
ReplyDeleteThis has to be my favorite texture in nail polish. Nails Inc calls it a Leather Finish and I think that describes it perfectly.
DeleteOh wow, they came out awesome. I don't know if my hands would be sturdy enough to pull it off as awesomely as you did, though!! LOL.
ReplyDeleteThere is always a lot of clean up before pictures are taken, believe me!
DeleteI tell you what... those red nails with the black stripes are awesome. I don't think I have ever seen anything like it. You did a great job.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much Terry!
DeleteWow those are so effective I love them! They are amazing who would have thought something so simple would be so amazing. x
ReplyDeleteThanks Sarah! Sometime simpler IS better!
DeleteYou are so talented. What a great nail design. I love the black with red stripes, so stylish. My girls are going crazy over the red polish.
ReplyDeleteThis red is really a stunner! Thanks Chrishelle!
DeleteOh My those look absolutely gorgeous! I would love to have nails look like that!
ReplyDeleteThanks Amber! It took awhile to get them into this shape but now a little care now and then and I am good to go.
DeleteAwesome nails! This makes me want to really be strong in my commitment not to bite my nails and give these a try.
ReplyDeleteRachee, I have never been a nail biter but I imagine it is worse than, say, quitting smoking or losing weight. I mean, you can't not buy them and I bet half the time you do it without really realizing! I'm sending you positive thoughts that you will be strong, hon!
DeleteNow those nails look fabulous! I wish I had nice strong nails to decorate like that, but I am a biter :(
ReplyDeleteEven short nails have the right to be purdy! Thanks Theresa!
DeleteI've never seen anything like this before. Those are incredibly cool!
ReplyDelete*blush* Thanks Liz!
DeleteYou've done a great job! They look really good! I was thinking of doing something similar for Christmas, with green and red!
ReplyDeleteAshley, that would look awesome! If I try it and post it, I will give you credit for inspiring me!
DeleteThese nail designs are absolutely beautiful. I love how they shimmer and I really love how healthy and strong your own nails look. These are perfect looks for the holidays.
ReplyDeleteThanks Cookie! Every girl should have a little shimmer in her life!
DeleteYou did a great job with your nails. I can never get stripes to stay straight on mine.
ReplyDeletePam, this is all about the stripping tape! You can keep moving it around until it is in the right position and then you are good to go!
DeleteI love how they turned out! Very unique, and very pretty!
ReplyDeleteThanks Dear!
DeleteThose really are awesome. They caught my eye and I couldn't quit looking at them. You have great nails.
ReplyDeleteNow this was too funny! ~ "This just makes me want to strap on some leather and hop on a Harley, or at least the hubby. Wait, did I just say that out loud?"
Thanks Pam! Glad that I could provide a little levity in your day (tee hee)
DeleteI love these it sounds so simple to do but comes out really well, then again me saying sounds simple goodness knows what mess i would make trying to do this lol.
ReplyDeleteYou should have seen me the first time I tried to use stripping tape! I thought I would have a nervous breakdown! Now it is one of the simplest for me to do!
DeleteWow! I love the final look! That's is great and you did an amazing job.
ReplyDeleteThanks GUM! It was really easy.
DeleteI love the red and black! I can so try this out! I doubt I can do it but atleast I can try
ReplyDeleteTeresa, the trick is to make sure your base is completely dry before you add the stripping tape. I usually paint my nails, wear them a day or to with just the base coat, then add the rest later, perfect for covering up tip wear!
DeleteYou are rocking those nails for sure. I love all of them! Great job!!
ReplyDeleteThanks Patricia!
DeleteThese are all beautiful nails for sure. I love the different nail creations that come out. I can't keep my nails long enough and hard enough to fully do these kinds of things unless I get acrylic nails.
ReplyDeleteI love the depth you've created in these, but scrolling through, I think my favorite are the Lucky Lucky Lacquer.
ReplyDeleteLove the look .. this can go festive with a fancy outfit or dressed down with jeans..LOVE it...
ReplyDeleteWow, now this seem soooo sexy I'd say! <3
ReplyDeleteWow, I could never do this. Your super good!
ReplyDeleteI am in LOVE with these! My favorite colors are red and black, so these are perfect! So sexy!
