#TGPNPC Discontinued Glitzology Blue Lagoon

I love catching up on challenges almost as much as I hate falling behind!  This is for The Glittah Pirates Never Ending Pile challenge.  The prompt is discontinued.  To be honest, I don't think I have that many discontinued polishes.  For one thing, I haven't been polished obsessed for that long.  Secondly, I refuse to hop on the limited edition crazy train.  Yes, there have been one or two that I have gone out of my way to obtain, but most of those were mainstream polishes that just meant I had to make an extra trip to Ulta or Sally's or CVS right after release.  So how to find if I had a discontinued polish?  I started with my earliest indies, figuring that would be my best bet.  The problem was that I was so excited with my first indies that they were practically all tried.  I found what I needed though, and boy was I glad I did!

BAM!  Look at all that scintillating flash!  My pictures just cannot do this polish justice!  What is it?

Ah Glitzology!  I have three gorgeous bottles from this now closed indie.  Don't really know what happened as the ones I have and ones I have seen swatched are genius, all sorts of glittery goodness!  This is Blue Lagoon (as you can plainly see on the label :) and is a clear base packed  with chunky hex and square glitters in numerous sizes.  There is, of course the beautiful teal leaning blue holo, plus matte black and gold holo.  In between all the glitters, the base is also filled with blue holo micro glitters!

If you have been following me for any length of time, you may have noticed that I am not really a glitter girl.  The funny thing is that I have tons in my stash, I just never use them.  This one though....it must come into my must wear rotation!  This is two coats over a black base.  Although jammed full of glitter, it goes on like butter!  I wanted this as a full coverage glitter, but it looks beautiful at one coat also.  In addition, I added only one coat of Seche Vite top coat for a glassy finish!

I wanted a chunky stamp to add on top, so I picked PUEEN 59.

Although I really like this bold swirly stamp, it kind of got lost in all the twinkle and spark of Blue Lagoon.  It ended up being one of those subtle secret stamps where I alone knew of it's true beauty.

This is not what I would typically wear to work, but I made an exception for this one and even searched my wardrobe to have something to coordinate with my tips.  You know you have a ....passion (?)....for polish when you coordinate your clothes with your polish rather than the other way around!

I cannot believe that it took almost two years for this to see the light of day!  Thank goodness for The Glittah Pirates!  Every post I become more in love with this challenge!  Check out the other discontinued polishes....if you dare!  There may be some lemmings out there to be discovered!

Thanks for looking and commenting!

I thought I was going crazy for a second because I saw the stamping and I thought I was just seeing things! I love subtle stampings, they are like a mini-game!
